Herbert Halate

Ha-lah-tee

Son of "Old Man Halate" Leonard Halate(d) and Lena Martinez Halate and brother of Marvelita Phillips. Herbert began carving in the early 70's. Around the age of 11 or 12 he would watch and started learning from his father Leonard(d). Most of his work are often decorated with a turquoise arrow or other bundle on its side.
