Daughter of well known fetish carver "old man Halate" Herbert Halate(d) and Lena Martinez Halate, sister of Herbert Halate and mother of Brandon Phillips. She has been making fetishes since the early 70's. She specialized in jewelry and was encouraged by her husband Patrick who was a fetish carver to continue making carvings after one night she had carved a bear, fox and a bird. She began making fetish necklaces then became known for the beautiful fetish pots.
