David Chavez: Alabaster, Mt.Lion
Cha-vez
The stone’s soft peach tones shift gently from pale blush to warm amber, with delicate marbling that flows like the subtle patterns in fur. Light glides across the alabaster’s polished surface, giving the piece a gentle glow, as if warmth radiates from within. Set into its face are striking turquoise eyes, bright and piercing, their vivid hue alive against the warm stone. The contrast of the cool turquoise and the peachy alabaster creates a sense of balance—both fierce and graceful, like the mountain lion itself.
Mountain lion (Hokdidasha): is at the top of the food chain and is regarded to be a great hunter and leader. Mountain lion’s presence is usually felt but not seen. Mountain Lion medicine is about setting good examples and boundaries.
