Sarah Leekya: Amber, Eagle
Sarah Leekya: Amber, Eagle
A smooth, subtly detailed eagle carved from warm amber perches with quiet dignity, its form simplified yet unmistakably regal. The amber glows with rich golden and honeyed tones, capturing light and giving the bird an inner radiance that seems to shimmer from within. Gentle curves suggest the wings, body, and head, while minimal etching hints at feathers without overwhelming the sleek elegance. Set into the face are small black eyes, their deep, glossy hue providing a striking contrast to the amber and lending the eagle a focused, piercing gaze. The overall effect is graceful and luminous, emphasizing essence and form over intricate detail.
Eagle (K'yak'yali): meaning is that of extraordinary vision, of seeing the whole picture. Even though Eagle can see the smallest of details from a great distance, it maintains a comprehensive view. Eagle helps us to remember that one’s journey is spiritual as well as physical.
